Patient is a woman, age
24, with recidivate tumor in the right frontal lobe (motor
area). First surgery was performed 12 years ago.
Histological diagnosis at that time was mixed glioma (oligoastrocytoma).
No slides or tissue block are available. Leading
symptoms before last admission were seizures. In the CT
a tumor of the right frontal lobe is observed. Clinical
diagnosis: tumor of the right frontal region. The patient was
treated surgically by right frontal craniotomy. Total
excision of the tumor was achieved.
Working diagnosis: neurocytoma
Differential
diagnosis: oligoastrocytoma
