Baruah, MD Graduated from the Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh taking the first position in order of merit in 1978 MD in Pathology from the PGIMER, Chandigarh in 1982 Worked as Senior Resident in the Department of Pathology PGI, Chandigarh for 1 year. Joined the Regional Medical Research Centre, ICMR, Dibrugarh and worked as a Research Officer for 3 years. Started Private Practice in Dibrugarh as the Director and Chief Pathologist of a Diagnostic & Research Centre, and has been in practice for the last 15 years. Received special training in Telepathology from the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington,DC in September 2000. Convened a Symposium on “Telepathology: Today & Tomorrow” in the 50th National Conference of IAPM in Mumbai held in December 2001 Attended the First National Conference on Telemedicine, Lucknow, April 23-27th, 2001 as a faculty member in Telepathology Convened the 2nd IAPM Telepathology Quiz in the 51st National Conference of IAPM in Kolkata held in December 2002 Has a number of publications on Telepathology including =Telepathology in India.
