Female,
57 years old with clinical history of asthma.
No other relevant clinical history.
She died while sleeping.
Autopsy findings:
- Abnormal aortic valve, 3 cm in diameter.
- Left ventricle 2cm in thickness.
- Right ventricle: 0.4 cm in thickness.
- Heart weight: 420 g.
- Pericardial sac with 20 ml transparent light
yellow fluid.
2 images (superior and inferior views) of the
aortic valves are presented.
The rest of the exam was within normal limits.
